Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2
Two things changed in the second Centauri Carbon, and both matter more than the version number suggests: the nozzle now runs to 350 °C instead of 320 °C, and there is finally a four-colour option in the CANVAS unit. The temperature jump moves polycarbonate and higher-temperature nylons from marginal to practical. Elegoo also added what it calls a Smart Grille — a motorised louvre that passively regulates chamber temperature by opening and closing vents, which is a cheaper answer than a chamber heater and a more controlled one than a sealed box. The 32 mm³/s flow figure carries over, so throughput is unchanged and still checkable. At $349, or $399 with CANVAS, it undercuts a P1S with AMS by a wide margin while matching it on build volume and beating it on nozzle temperature.

Real speed ceiling
400 mm/s
32 mm³/s ÷ (0.4 mm × 0.2 mm) = 400 mm/s. The Centauri Carbon 2 is advertised at 500 mm/s, so the hotend can feed 80% of the headline figure. An estimate for a straight line at the hotend’s rated flow — real prints are slower again.
