Elegoo Neptune 4
Elegoo's budget workhorse was one of the first cheap printers to ship with real Klipper underneath rather than Marlin with a speed claim bolted on, and that is still the reason to look at it: input shaping and pressure advance are doing actual work at $219. A 121-point probe mesh handles a bed that is larger than the Ender-class competition at 225 × 225 × 265 mm, and the 110 °C bed is hotter than most rivals in this bracket, which helps PETG stick without a raft. It arrives partly assembled and needs the gantry bolted on. The Neptune line has since been overtaken inside Elegoo's own range by the Centauri machines, which are enclosed CoreXY designs for not much more money, so this now reads as the budget option rather than the interesting one. No flow figure is published.

Not published
Elegoo does not publish a volumetric flow rate for the Neptune 4, so its 500 mm/s claim cannot be checked against what the hotend can actually melt. We do not estimate one.
Best forA cheap, fast first printer for someone who would rather tinker with Klipper than with a gantry.

Features
- Klipper firmware with input shaping and pressure advance
- 225 × 225 × 265 mm — larger than most printers at this price
- 121-point automatic bed-levelling mesh
- 110 °C heated bed
What it does well
- Genuine Klipper with input shaping rather than a firmware speed claim with nothing behind it
- 110 °C bed and a 300 °C hotend cover PETG and PLA-CF comfortably at this price
- Bigger build volume than the Ender-class machines it competes against
- Dense 121-point levelling mesh copes well with a bed that is not perfectly flat
Where it gives ground
- Superseded inside Elegoo's own range by the enclosed Centauri machines for not much more
- Partial assembly required, and the gantry alignment matters
- No enclosure, camera or multi-material option
- No published flow rate behind the 500 mm/s claim
- Stock nozzle is brass, so abrasive filament wears it fast
