QIDI Plus5
Successor to the discontinued Plus4, with 18% more volume and — unusually for this market — a published 40 mm³/s flow rate to go with the 600 mm/s headline. Those two numbers together are what makes this machine easy to assess: 40 mm³/s at a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.2 mm layer is about 500 mm/s of genuine line speed, so the claim and the hotend are roughly in step, which is not true of most printers here. Around that sits a third-generation 65 °C chamber heater, a 370 °C nozzle, a 120 °C bed, 9 mm belts and linear rails. Thirty and a half litres, actively heated, is a specification that Bambu charges roughly twice as much for. It weighs 29 kg and takes a half-metre square of bench, and QIDI's software polish remains a step behind the larger brands.

Real speed ceiling
500 mm/s
40 mm³/s ÷ (0.4 mm × 0.2 mm) = 500 mm/s. The Plus5 is advertised at 600 mm/s, so the hotend can feed 83% of the headline figure. An estimate for a straight line at the hotend’s rated flow — real prints are slower again.
