QIDI Q2
QIDI's speciality is chamber heat at prices where nobody else offers it, and the Q2 is the cheapest actively heated chamber in this catalogue. Sixty-five degrees driven, a 370 °C nozzle and a 120 °C bed is a materials envelope that covers polycarbonate and nylon, not just ABS — and QIDI puts it in a 270 mm cube for $499. At 370 °C the nozzle is the hottest in this catalogue, H-series included. MET certification and three-stage air filtration are unusual attention to the part of ABS printing that involves breathing. The trade-offs are software and support: QIDI's Klipper build and slicer are functional rather than polished, and the company is small enough that support response varies. No volumetric flow figure is published for this model, though QIDI publishes them for the Plus5 and Max4, which makes the omission conspicuous.

Not published
QIDI does not publish a volumetric flow rate for the Q2, so its 600 mm/s claim cannot be checked against what the hotend can actually melt. We do not estimate one.
Best forEngineering materials — PC, nylon, ABS — on the smallest sensible budget.

Features
- Chamber actively heated to 65 °C
- 370 °C nozzle — the hottest here outside the Bambu H-series
- 120 °C bed and a three-stage air filter, MET certified
- 270 × 270 × 256 mm enclosed CoreXY
- QIDI Box multi-colour unit available separately
- Zero-offset first layer with no manual Z calibration
What it does well
- A genuinely driven 65 °C chamber at $499, where most rivals at this price offer a passive box
- 370 °C nozzle and 120 °C bed cover polycarbonate and nylon rather than stopping at ABS
- Three-stage filtration and MET certification take the fume side of ABS printing seriously
- Hardened nozzle fitted as standard
- Bigger bed than the 256 mm cubes it is priced against
Where it gives ground
- No published flow rate, despite QIDI publishing one for its Plus5 and Max4
- Slicer and firmware are functional rather than polished next to Bambu or Elegoo
- QIDI is a small company and support response is inconsistent
- QIDI Box is a further $199, and it is a less developed system than AMS or CFS
