Sovol SV06 ACE

Sovol's pitch is the one thing none of the sealed appliances offer: the firmware is genuinely open. This is stock Klipper you can SSH into, not a locked build with a vendor skin, and for anyone who wants to add a Mainsail interface, write macros or tune input shaping by hand, that is the entire argument. The hardware underneath is a competent 220 × 220 × 250 mm bed-slinger with eddy-current bed scanning, a planetary direct-drive extruder and a 300 °C hotend, at $239. It needs partial assembly and the fit and finish are a step below Bambu or Elegoo. Sovol also sells every part individually, which combined with open firmware makes it the closest thing here to a printer you can own indefinitely rather than rent from a firmware team.
